The RGT EX86170 Challenger is a 1/10 scale 4WD RC crawler designed for technical trails, controlled rock crawling and scale off-road driving. Its portal axles, two-speed transmission and DIG rear-axle function provide drivetrain options for different terrain and driving situations.
The RGT EX86170 Challenger uses a 35T RC550 brushed motor with a Hobbywing WP-1060 60A ESC. Its drivetrain combines metal gears, 45# steel reduction shafts and steel center CVDs. A two-section PC body, roll cage details, spare tire, front LED lighting and a functional winch complete the truck’s scale equipment.

Portal Axles and Metal Drivetrain
The RGT EX86170 Challenger uses portal axles with metal gears in the axle housings. Metal transmission gears, 45# steel reduction shafts and steel center CVDs form the drivetrain. The axle housings have metal-finish covers, while the caster hubs and steering mounts use impact-resistant nylon.
Two-Speed Transmission and DIG
The RGT EX86170 Challenger has selectable high and low gearing. Low gear supports controlled crawling, while high gear is suited to faster trail sections. The DIG function locks the rear axle to help tighten the turning line in confined areas. The drivetrain also supports front-wheel-drive and 4WD modes.
The front and rear gear ratios differ, with a listed 6.6% front overdrive. The reverse-drive layout and selectable drivetrain functions give the RGT EX86170 Challenger multiple ways to manage traction and turning on technical routes.
35T Brushed Power System

Adjustable Suspension and Removable Rear Stabilizer
The RGT EX86170 Challenger uses CNC aluminum coil-over hydraulic shocks with a two-stage spring design. The rear axle includes a removable anti-roll bar. Keeping it installed adds support during faster driving, while removing it allows greater suspension articulation for slow crawling.
Functional Winch and Scale Body
The RGT EX86170 Challenger includes a 360-degree, 25 kg metal-gear winch servo with a concealed cable route. The winch cable extends up to 90 cm and has a listed pulling capacity of up to 15 kg.
The two-section PC body has clear windows and plastic scale accessories, including a roll cage, grille, mirrors, wipers and lamp housings. A flip-open body provides access to the adjustable battery tray. The truck also includes a spare tire, a CNC winch mount and front bumper lighting with headlights and fog lights.

The RGT EX86170 Challenger described here is the standard brushed version with an RC550 35T motor and Hobbywing WP-1060 60A ESC. Select the Battery+Chargers option shown on the product page to choose whether the battery and charger are included.
The separate RGT EX86170 PRO Challenger is a different configuration and is not the brushed model described here.

RGT EX86170 New designed low center-of-gravity Reducer, all use metal gears with 45# steel-made reduction shafts, improving the durability and reliability. RGT EX86170 with Anti-roll bar added in rear axle housing, provides better support for car in high-speed operation and avoids roll-over. Players who prefer slow climbling can remove the anti-roll bar to get a higher twisting stroke and increase the passability.Suspension system uses CNC aluminum alloy coilover hydraulic shock absorber, double-stage spring design, red oil injection spring. Coilover suspension brings more convenient damping adjustment, which could be adjusted in different terrain.
RGT EX86170 Challenger will be in RTR version for consumers, equipped with 35T RC550 super torque motor, "Hobbywing" WP-1060 waterproof metal gear ESC for crawler, 25KG all-metal gear waterproof servo, ESC supports 2 -3S lipo battery mode, and 8-channel transmitter specially designed for Challenger.
RGT EX86170 bodyshell uses two-section PC soft shell (suitable for modification), with environmentally spray paint and transparent windows, providing three colors for option (yellow, green, red). The bodyshell is equipped with plastic accessories such as roll cage, air grill, rear-view mirror, wiper, front and rear lamp holders. In addition, there includes one spare tire as standard part in factory.The bodyshell opened by a flip cover, convenient to replace the battery; the adjustable battery tray is suitable for different specification batteries. Standard CNC winch seat and 10-bead front bumper LED headlight, fog lights on both sides.
