The CROSSRC BC8 Mammoth is a 1/12 scale 8x8 radio controlled military transport truck designed for scale driving, trail use and off-road hauling. Its eight-wheel drivetrain, four-wheel front steering, two-speed all-metal gearbox and independent suspension give this large-scale model a distinctive presence on the trail. The BC8 also features a detailed cab, linked lighting, a heavy-duty fifth-wheel and a 3 mm CNC-machined metal I-beam chassis.

Choose the Standard or Flagship version, then select KIT or RTR. The KIT requires assembly and painting. The RTR is supplied assembled and painted. Battery and charger availability depends on the Battery+Chargers option selected on the product page.

Key Features:

8x8 Drivetrain and Four-Wheel Front Steering

The CROSSRC BC8 Mammoth drives through all eight wheels and steers through its four front wheels. This configuration supports controlled movement over uneven trails and gives the truck its characteristic large transport-vehicle handling.

Independent Suspension and Rear Balance Beam

The eight-wheel suspension is designed to maintain tire contact across varied terrain. Torsion-bar suspension is used at the front, while a balance-beam arrangement supports the rear axles.

Two-Speed All-Metal Gearbox

The two-speed transmission provides a lower gear for controlled driving and a higher gear for faster trail sections. The transmission is arranged around front and rear drive modules.

CNC-Machined Chassis and Heavy-Duty Drivetrain

The chassis uses 3 mm CNC-machined metal I-beam rails. The drivetrain includes double-ball CVD components and hardened-steel drive components. The Flagship version upgrades the main suspension components to metal.

The CROSSRC BC8 Mammoth features a detailed cab and interior, linked exterior and interior lighting, 2.4-inch metal wheels and 5.3-inch tires. Its heavy-duty fifth-wheel supports scale trailer configurations.

KIT Package: CROSSRC BC8 Mammoth kit with the 560-size 38T brushed motor and the components for the selected version. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Servos, ESC, transmitter and receiver are not included. Battery and charger are included only when the Included option is selected.

RTR Package: Assembled and painted CROSSRC BC8 Mammoth with the 560-size 38T brushed motor, three servos, ESC and transmitter. Battery and charger are included only when the Included option is selected.

Assembly and Care Notes:

1. Paint and glue body parts in a well-ventilated area and wear a protective mask.
2. Use ABS-specific cement for the ABS body shell. Use a low-corrosion clear adhesive or model-specific cement for acrylic windows and light lenses.
3. Before gluing ABS parts, clean the bonding surfaces and keep paint off the surfaces. Apply ABS cement to both parts and hold them under pressure for about 10 seconds.
4. Dry-fit body parts before gluing or painting to confirm the assembly sequence.
5. Refer to page 63 of the manual for the electronic wiring diagram. Test the power system with the wheels raised off the ground.
6. This detailed kit requires careful assembly and finishing. Read the manual thoroughly and follow its instructions.
7. Threadlocker is required during assembly. Keep it away from ABS body parts because it can make the material brittle and cause cracking.
8. Use model-building tools and observe tool-safety precautions during assembly.
